Space Insanity: Chapter 1: Things Are Simple

Along with her small but trusty crew, Captain Juno is placed on a Sim Fleet base in Lunar Lakes. A far off earth colony somewhere in space on some planet. The name Lunar Lakes referred to the many different bodies of water scattered around the planet. The crew was based there to study the people, and the surrounding planets in order to learn about the culture in deeper space. However, her Commander didn't feel good about this mission.

"I don't know Captain, this seems like an odd mission, I mean, they gave us some weird drink to consume when we got here, remember?" Redd said,

"I could have sworn I saw for Jack cringe after drinking it. What where those things anyway?"

Pearl just laughed.

"I'm serous Captain, things just don't seem right."

"Sigh," Pearl shook her head, "You have nothing to worry about Redd, things will be fine, life here is just like on Earth, just more, work related...kind of..." She threw her hands up, trying to explain how great things would be. "Look around us Redd, Lunar Lakes is beautiful!!!"

She was right, the planet was beautiful. Covered in browns, golds, blues and purples. There were high mountains and deep crystal blues lakes. Some of those lakes sat in craters. Even the houses were fascinating. Some of them looked like fungus while others look like they were straight from a modern museum. As far as they knew the small inhabited area of the planet was the ONLY inhabited part of the planet. At least they hoped so. Their only job was to explore the surrounding planets after they where settled and used to deep space. They were never taught how to deal with hostile aliens. For the most part, Pearl was right, life was pretty normal and simple at the base.

They each had their post, as Captain and commander, Pearl and Redd just sort of looked good and sat around. Sometimes it would bore them.

Jack Nimble and Subrina Normal had more integrate jobs. Jack was the main brains and brawns of the crew. You could find him keeping watching the sky's, or training the crew.

Subrina, on the other hand, was the culture queen and scientist. Her job revolved the most around the planets and their greenery.

No matter the job, they all could live a normal life. Like eating, sleeping and bathing.

Even Pearl's cat, Rose, had a normal life.

Luckily for them, they hadn't received orders to go to one of the near by planets.So naturally they had time for hobbies.

Jack had time for his work outs.
